ARSENAL AND OLYMPIACOS BATTLE FOR STRIKER

Arsenal have reportedly made an offer for Leganes forward Yourself En-Nesyri, according to reports from his native country Morocco.

According to Assahifa.com, the 22-year-old could be on his way to the Emirates in the summer after Arsenal submitted a formal offer for the player.

En-Nesyri was impressive for Spanish side Leganes this season scoring 11 goals and providing two assists in all competitions. He was also part of the Morocco national team that took part in the 2018 World Cup and scored in the 2-2 draw with Spain.

The forward is highly rated in Spain with the likes of Real Betis, Schalke, Borussia Dortmund reportedly interested in the player.

Greece side Olympiacos have also expressed interest in the forward as they look to strengthen ahead of next season. However Arsenal are the overwhelming favourites as they have more financial muscle than the Greek side.

Olympiacos are also thought to be interested in Arsenal stopper David Ospina as there are indications that Napoli are not willing to take the player up permanently.

It is understood that the Italian club are having doubts about the stopper after a mixed season at the club.  Ospina wants a good club and Olympiacos can offer the Colombian ace Champions League football next season and a good wage.

Arsenal views En-Nesyri as an affordable signing who can bring depth to the forward positions. Danny Welbeck is expected to leave the club in the summer and En-Nesyri would be a decent replacement for the Englishman.

The Moroccan is 6ft 2 and good with his back to goal which makes him an ideal fit for the Premier League.

A fee of £10 million is thought to be sufficient to complete the deal and he would be an astute signing for the Gunners.
