Parma have had to suffer five straight defeats in the Italian Serie A this season and it has triggered the club to go into the market to source for reinforcements that will help strengthen the club so they can at least begin to fight for survival.

Zagaritis is just 20 years of age, has top technical ability, can move the ball pretty well, and is also a good crosser of the ball. His performances for Panathinaikos so far this season have not gone unnoticed, which is why Parma now want to begin talks to take him to Italy as soon as possible.

Gazzetta.gr recently reported that both clubs are already locked in talks currently and are looking to iron out an agreement between the two clubs and the player. The player has a contract with his current club that will not expire until June lager this year. He has made a total of 12 appearances in the Greek Super League this season and has been really outstanding for his club.

AS Roma are the other Italian Serie A club who have registered interest in the player, but there is no concrete interest from then. English side Leicester City were monitoring his development since last season but decided against making a proposal for the top left-back.

Should Zagaritis move to Italy, with Parma, he will be expected to be automatically slotted into the starting eleven to help him progress and mature as a player. He will also want a move away from Panathinaikos and will relish the chance of playing in the Premier League.
