UTRECHT SIGN YOUNG GREEK STRIKER

Dutch Eredivisie outfit FC Utrecht have completed the signing of one of the hottest prospect in the Greece national team. AnastasiosDouvikas is one of the best young players in the Greece at the moment and he has made the decision to move to Dutch football ahead of the new season which starts in August.

FC Utrecht secured the transfer of Greece international Douvikasat the end of last month. His transfer was confirmed by the Dutch Eredivisie club. The 21-year-old striker is expected to start the new chapter with FC Utrecht in the summer.

Dutch team FC Utrecht saw off competition from a lot of teams in Europe to sign the abovementioned Greece player Douvikas had interest from Belgian club Anderlecht and several teams in the Greek Super League but they were unable to sign him ahead of Utrecht.

Greece national team striker Douvikas has put pen to paper on a four-year deal at FC Utrecht until the end of the 2024/25 season. The young player will move to Cathedral City in the summer.

Douvikas has been amongst the goals for his team on a regular basis this season. He has 14 goals plus five assists in 34 games for Volos since the start of this campaign. The striker was at AstreasTripolisbefore he left the club to join Volos last year.

The Greek national team player has spent just one season with Volos in the Greek league before leaving for FC Utrecht. The Dutch Eredivisie outfit saw off the challenge of several teams on the European scene before signing him. The transfer was made official at the end of April.

Douvikas has one cap for the Greece senior national team. On his move to FC Utrecht, the player told the club’s official website that he took his time to do his due diligence on the Dutch club when he heard about the interest in him.
