WILL LUIZ STILL COMPLETE HIS MOVE TO GREECE?

The tension has continued to mount on Arsenal defender David Luiz to get another club this summer following reports that he will not be spending next season at the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has made it clear that he will no longer need the services of the Brazilian defender at the club next season and it has given rise to reports claiming that the player is highly interested in sealing a move to Greece this summer.

Luiz has not had the best of careers as a Gunner and is now set to leave the club in the next few weeks even though he still does not know where he will be playing his football next season. There were rumors toward the end of last season that he could be set for a return to Stamford Bridge but those claims have been quashed by Thomas Tuchel already. Some other reports claimed that the former Chelsea central defender could consider moving to the United States Major League Soccer but that may also not be the case with the current situation of things.

The most likely destination for him could now be Greece, with reports now gathering pace that Greek side Olympiacos are starting to intensify their chase for the defender as they want to complete his signing as early as they can before competition for his signature arises anytime in the next coming days. Olympiacos are said to have approached Luiz’s agent over a potential move to the Greek club this summer and they may have gotten themselves a green light in an attempt to sign the player judging by the latest developments.

Luiz, should he complete a permanent transfer to Olympiacos, is expected to walk straight into the starting XI of the Greek club and that may just be enough reason for him to consider the offer.
